BUSINESS

Developing AM business for all industries

AM (additive manufacturing) is no longer just a technology for things like prototype manufacturing and small-lot production. It is evolving as a way to make complex-shaped products not possible with conventional technologies, and as a production method ensuring high reliability.

The secret to AM’s almost limitless potential lies in its software technologies and engineering. In addition to selling AM machines, NTT Data XAM provides end-to-end AM solutions, which include support for design, material selection, and testing, carrying out contract manufacturing, and developing the necessary software.

SOLUTIONS

AM Machine Sales and Maintenance

Centered on products from EOS GmbH, the global market share leader in metal AM machines (head office: Berlin, Germany), we provide metal and plastic AM machines that meet customer needs.

NTT Data XAM signed a sole agency agreement with EOS in 1993. In the more than 25 years since then, we have adhered to EOS’s philosophy and technologies in work covering not just the selling of machines but also delivery and installation, training of machine operators, and maintenance.
We provide a range of services that help customers maximize the potential of AM technology.

Application Development and Contract Manufacturing

In order to incorporate AM technology into your business, you need experts who are well versed in design rules and who understand the entire process of AM and its potential for designing complex geometries.

With engineers highly experienced in AM technology, one of Japan’s largest production capacities, and state-of-the-art testing and analyzing equipment, we carry out contract manufacturing of high-quality, high-value-added AM parts.

Engineering Software from nTopology

As an authorized sales agency of American engineering software company nTopology, Inc. (head office: New York), NTT Data XAM provides sales and support for that company’s nTop Platform.

In providing customers with state-of-the-art computational design technology, nTop Platform enables things not possible with conventional software, such as designing high-precision lattice structures and creating designs that utilize analysis results.

DLyte Dry Electropolishing Machine

DLyte is a revolutionary dry electropolishing machine from GPAINNOVA (head office: Barcelona, Spain), a technology leader specializing in the design and manufacture of metal surface finishing equipment.
NTT Data XAM has a sole agency agreement with GPAINNOVA in Japan.

DLyte machines use solid electropolishing media and ion exchange to automatically grind and polish metal. Unlike conventional technologies, they can polish complex geometries to a mirror finish.
